Cardioprotection mediated by exosomes is impaired in the setting of type II diabetes but can be rescued by the use of non-diabetic exosomes in vitro

This is one of the first of a series of papers from my year-long attachment at the Hatter Cardiovascular Institute. Some of my experiments were included in this paper which shows the role of exosomes, nanosized vesicles, and how they can protect the heart in a laboratory model of ischaemic injury.
