Lamin mutation location predicts cardiac phenotype severity: combined analysis of the published literature

Dilated cardiomyopathy caused by mutations in the Lamin gene is in general considered to be one of the most dangerous cardiomyopathies causing heart failure and ventricular arrhythmias with a risk of sudden cardiac death. In this paper, we identified that the position of the mutation in the Lamin gene and the type of the mutation can determine the severity of the disease and give different clinical manifestations.
