Development of Interstitial cells of Cajal in the human digestive tract as the result of reciprocal induction of mesenchymal and neural crest cells

In this paper, we proposed that neural crest cells, which migrate into different parts of the body and express their strong inductive potential, could also help induce interstitial cells of Cajal and form the enteric nervous system in the gastrointestinal tract.
